St Joseph Technical Secondary School has a rich history that dates back to 1987 when it started only as a Training Centre. It was later converted into St Joseph Technical Secondary School in 2005, blending both secondary education and vocational training to children and youth within Kangemi.

We at St Joseph are committed to working with stakeholders and students to provide quality learning facilities for technological, professional, and technical education for the industrial development of the Kangemi area and the country at large.

The institute is a secondary, post-secondary technical, industrial, vocational, and entrepreneurial training (TIVET). It is a direct outgrowth of the increasing demand for technical manpower required in Kenya today.

The school targets youths aged 18-35 years and offers courses in Hairdressing & Beauty, Fashion & Design (i.e., Tailoring and Dressmaking), Computer Studies, and Electrical & Electronic Installation.

All students enrolled in the Vocational section are required to undertake the Computer course, which is offered for free. The computer classes begin at 8.30 am-10 am before the students proceed to their respective workshops for other lessons.

St Joseph Technical School has highly trained and qualified teachers and staff committed to providing quality training that is innovative, competency-oriented, and research-based that consistently meets the market expectations and demand.
